PROJECT SUMMARY

The aim of this project was to complete the external and internal fit out of the station building and for the provision of a toilet block at the Drumawhey Junction Miniature Railway.

BACKGROUND

Belfast and Co. Down Miniature Railway was established in 1991 with the aim of building a miniature railway. In order to improve the overall visitor experience, the Railway Society applied for funding to install a new toilet block and fit out the station to improve service facilities for visitors.

ACTIVITIES

Funding from DRAP allowed the Belfast and Co. Down Miniature Railway Society to install a cesspool, toilet block and fit out the station with heaters, kitchen equipment and insulation.
