The project aim is to establish a conveyor design testing facility which will enable customers to test theoretical solutions on a real life model tem prior to manufacture. Bespoke Training courses will also be developed to support customers in both the bulk and unit handling conveyor industries.
Conveyortek Ltd was set up by Philip Trimble and is located in Ballinderry Industrial Estate, the company began trading in July 2009. The aim of the project is to create a conveyor design and testing facility utilising Discrete Element Modelling Software (DEM), ISO Testing facilities for conveyor component and design parameters working in conjunction with an adjustable model conveyor tem.
The applicant received funding for the following items Motorised training & demo conveyor tem Equipment and tooling costs Specialist software including 3D simulation Bespoke Training Marketing and Promotion
To establish ConveyorTek as the first conveyor design and testing facility in the UK and Ireland. To create a resource for promoting best practice conveyor design and EU safety standards for conveyors in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive NI and the Quarry Products Association Northern Ireland. To create an additional full-time post within 1 year of project completion and an additional full-time post within 2 years of completion.
