Craigavon Borough Council had applied for funding to commission a consultant to draw up comprehensive strategic plans for each of the 7-villages/settlement clusters in Craigavon Borough Council.
This will include plans drawn up to tender and bill of quantities stage, to allow documents to be prepared in sufficient detail to enable a procurement to be obtained for the construction phase of the project.
The Village Plans are being developed with assistance from the DARD Rural Development Programme under the Village Renewal Measure. They hope to identify an overall vision for the future development of each ‘Village Cluster’ and for individual settlements within it.
The plans will seek to identify a series of practical recommendations aimed at helping to improve the quality of life enjoyed by everyone who lives there.
