Purchase of equipment and marketing costs necessary to establish a Thermography business.
Seamus, through his training and expertise in the field of advising and recommending on heat retention and environmental friendly methods for new energy efficient homes, identified a regional need for a business to specialise in identifying heat / energy deficiencies in existing homes / buildings and proposing solutions for same. In order to identify where energy problems exist, a thermal image is required of a building, that will provide a visual image of where problems are, with e.g. damp, poor insulation, cold air movement etc.
Funded under Axis 3, through SOAR, this new business focuses on identifying energy problems within existing buildings, and
recommending solutions for same.
The business specialises in heat loss testing by taking a Thermal Image of building fabrics. Other services identified above are also offered, as they can be completed using the same camera.
The applicant undertakes consultations for clients, which involves taking images of a building floor, walls, doorways, windows, ceiling, attic, etc. Images are printed onsite, interpreted and reports prepared on recommended works.
