The build of a new photographic and craft studio to facilitate expansion of a photography business and allow for the development of the craft section of the business.
The applicant is Noelle Marks the owner of Shanroe Photographic and Craft Studio. This business has traded as a Sole Trader since October 2005. It was based in a small premises which was adjacent to the applicants home on the outskirts of Mullaghbawn, in Co Armagh. The applicant is a qualified photographer and is a member of the Master Photographers Association (MPA), which is the only body in the UK for professional photographers. The previous building used by the applicant was inadequate in terms of facilities, storage and parking.

The applicant also had a slate based craft product which she was keen to develop as a unique, product for various markets. The end product entails an image being produced and transferred onto slate. The production involves 2 stages – the photographic of images and then the hand crafted method of producing the final product. Images of the slate include landmarks and well known historians, politicians and famous leaders aswell as individual commissions.
