To revitalise Aghalee Village Hall which would allow further development of a diverse range of education and health programmes and initiatives which would meet the needs of a growing and thriving community.
Aghalee Village Hall wanted to increase the range of opportunities and activities available to the rural community. The hall is the sole venue in the village where the local population can meet to participate in recreational activities. Due to the significant increase in population within the last few years, the existing facilities were inadequate to meet demand and were in need of upgrading.
The project received funding for the refurbishment of male, female and disabled toilet facilities.
As the centre was able to provide improved facilities it allowed the promoters to increase their programme of activities and increase the level of community based service provision.
