PROJECT SUMMARY

The construction of an outdoor soft play area and associated outdoor play equipment for Aughnacloy Playgroup Ltd.

BACKGROUND

The Playgroup has been operating successfully for over 20 years and is the largest pre-school playgroup in Clogher Valley with 46 children (full and part time) and 29 PEAG’s places.  They were based in a listed building which had been adapted over the years to accommodate the playschool.  However, the listed building could not be extended to provide additional space - a major constraint of the developmental needs of the playgroup. Funding was secured from Dept of Education for a pre fabricated structure.

ACTIVITIES

Items funded under Axis 3 through SWARD included:

• Soft play surface
• Planters x 4, Signage, Boot stores x 2, Metal storage shed, Outdoor litter bin Sandbox with cement base, Splish (Water play), Playhouse, Outdoor blackboard,
• Mini maize seating, Toad stool
• Log cluster, Talking flowers, Double sided chimes
• Drum set , Sail shade, Outdoor mirror
• Slide
• Interactive Whiteboard sound system
