The establishment of the first specialist equine dental clinic in Ireland.
The promoter was carrying out an equine dental service in an ambulatory fashion, travelling all over NI to treat horses. Experiences and personal knowledge of the equine industry lead to specialise in this niche market.
Funded under Axis 3, through Lagan Rural Partnership, investment in upgrading of a yard and refurbishment of an existing farm building to create the equine dental clinic. Set up equipment and marketing/promotional activities were also funded.
The dental clinic reduces travel time for the project promoter thus allowing a greater number of animals to be treated. One job was created.
