Groundworks and electrical improvements to enhance facilities at existing caravan park.
Archie McIntosh is a farmer who owns a hill farm in the Glens of Antrim. In the 1970's Archie established a caravan park on the farm and it now consists of thirty one static caravans which are all rented out. One of Archie's' sons manages the site and it now brings in a better revenue that the farm.
Archie applied to Axis 3 through North East Region for assistance to enhance the layout and access to six recently added caravans, to landscape an area, which is currently hardcore, to provide a grassed recreational area for children and also to upgrade the electrical switchgear for all the caravans. As many of the residents wished to add decked areas to the areas round their caravans, Archie needed to improve the groundworks before this could start.
