To develop a currently derelict cottage into self-catering accommodation to cater for families and groups.
Mr Gerry Kingston owned an old, traditional stone cottage located on farmland within a few miles from walking paths to the Mourne mountains. An experienced fell runner himself, Kingston had previously identified the need in the area for quality, cost-effective accommodation for groups and families. Using funding from DRAP, he developed the cottage into four-star self-catering accommodation, with a new build walkers utility room.
DRAP funding enabled Gerry Kingston to renovate a derelict cottage into a four-star, purpose built self-catering accommodation.
