The aim of this application is to carry out alterations and upgrades to Killinchy Community Hall to improve the use of the hall.
The Killinchy & District Community Development Association was formed in 1999 to build and run a community hall for local residents. Since then they have run a variety of community services for the Killinchy area. In 2013 a comprehensive Village Plan of Killinchy and the surrounding area pointed out the need to upgrade and improve the Community Hall in order to encourage local residents to use it. To do this they applied for funding to convert the large, under-utilised changing rooms to create a smaller, extra hall for groups to use.
