The aim of the project was to greatly improve the facilities available within McIlroy Park, which will make it a more attractive place to stop and visit. It will also make it more accessible to the general public including those with mobility problems and families with small children.
McIlroy Park has significant potential however, the park currently has poor quality pathways and entry features, limited seating and poor signage, which limited the numbers of people stopping off in the area or utilising the park.
