The purchase of new equipment enabling a manufacturing business to expand its product range and attract new customers.
M&M Engineering is a manufacturing business based outside Toome which specialises in wrought ironwork, including gates, railings, interior and exterior decorative features and components. These components are used in the installation of structures such as stairwells and balustrades in residential and commercial outlets. The project's main customers are in the construction sector, as well as trade and private customers.
M&M Engineering received funding under Axis 3 through GROW South Antrim to purchase new equipment to produce products in stainless steel similar to those they are currently fabricating in wrought iron. The funding facilitated the company to fabricate stainless steel kits to order, which would be manufactured, based on specification from the customer and assembled on site.
The funding has enabled the business to expand the range of products they offer to both new and existing customers.
