To purchase machinery to increase the efficiency of the specialist joinery business, increase productivity, and meet higher customer demands.
Millar Woodcraft is a specialist joinery business supplying quality bespoke joinery items, including staircases, windows and doors for private and commercial customers. The business has been trading for approximately 8 years and currently employs 4 full-time staff, including the business owner, Colin Millar. In order to expand and develop the company, he applied for Rural Development Programme funding.
Colin also received funding to invest in marketing the business to new customers.
“Funding under the Rural Development Programme has provided my business with the opportunity to increase capacity through the purchase of new machinery. This funding will help sustain existing employment in skilled woodwork and will create future employment opportunities in the rural area of Randalstown.” Colin Millar, Millar Woodcraft
