To purchase two Utility Wagons for conversion into Mountain Rescue Ambulances.
The Mourne Mountain Rescue Team needed two new Land Rover 110 Utility Wagons that they planned to convert into specialist Mountain Recue Ambulances. These vehicles would fitted out with a range of equipment and fixtures which make them suited to the rough terrain of the Mournes.
Funding from DRAP enabled the Mourne Rescue team to buy and convert the mountain ambulances, and train all personnel in their use.
