Sandy Lane Stables, is a new equestrian business providing private riding lessons which caters for all levels of ability. The business also offers boarding, which includes a full care service including a stall, turnout, hay, feed and blanketing.
The land at Sandy Lane has been used for grazing horses and has a number of redundant farm buildings, which the promoter was keen to put back into sustainable commercial use. The promoter Sarah Kee, has always had a keen interest in horses and has recently returned from the US where she completed a Degree in Equestrian Business. The aim of the project is to use the skills, knowledge and available resources to start up a new equine business named Sandy Lane Stables.
Applicant received funding for the set up and development of the new equestrian facility including electrical work, gates, sand resurfacing and equipment including a wash bay, lunge pen and horse walker.
