The project involves refurbishing and extending the hall with an additional meeting room so that new community activities can be introduced and to allow for more than one group or activity to use the facility at the same time.
Slatequarry Development Association is a constituted community group established in 1981. The current facility used by the group is a former primary school which consists of a main hall, kitchen and toilets. This is leased from the Parish Church and is in use 5 nights per week for various classes.
