After being involved in taking noise measurements for over 20 years and recognising a niche in the market, Sam Bell took early retirement and set up Sound Acoustic Management (SAM). SAM specialises in employee Health and Safety. The company also carries out industrial, construction and environmental noise impact assessments and provides reports and expert witness for clients.
As one of a small number of noise & vibration consultants in Ireland, Sam was awarded a grant under Axis 3 through GROW South Antrim to purchase equipment to enable his clients to comply with the new 'Vibration at Work' legislation and to invest in marketing to raise the business profile. The funding enabled Sam to expand business capacity into hand/arm vibration measurement to meet new legislation.
