The establishment of a South Antrim heritage trail, with interpretive panels stretching over 2 District Council areas of Antrim and Newtownabbey.
Funded under Axis 3, through Grow South Antrim, this is a joint project between Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Councils, which aims to link the heritage sites in the two Boroughs and create a trail for visitors and locals to find out about the heritage of Antrim and Newtownabbey. Interpretative panels will tell the story of the heritage of the area, with old photographs and maps bringing the information to life. The trail will encourage people to take pride in conserving and maintaining their unique heritage.
