The aim of this application is to assist with funding the office furniture and sports and IT equipment for the new Community Hall in Annsborough .
After completing Phase 1 of their project to create a community hub in Annsborough – building a new community centre to serve the needs of local residents – the Annsborough Community Forum applied for funding to equip the centre. This equipment included office furniture, computers and printers, and sports equipment such as tennis racquets, air hockey tables and yoga mats. vibrant, The aim was to create a vibrant, central place for community events, clubs and groups for generations to come.
Funding from DRAP enabled the Annsborough Community Forum to purchase essential office furniture, sports and IT equipment which are required to ensure maximum use of Annsborough Community Hall.
The aim of the project is to build an indoor community sports hall with entrance lobby, toilets and a shower room which can be used for sporting
The Down Rural Area Partnership gave the Annsborough Community Forum funding to develop a village plan. One of the priorities of local residents that the plan identified, was the need for a local community facility. It was felt that a community facility would increase community activity and improve the quality of life of young children, adults, farm families, senior citizens and those most disadvantaged in the area.
Funding from DRAP enabled the ACF to convert a local social club into a multi-function community hall that served the needs of local residents. This encouraged social inclusion in a rural area and improved the quality of life in the community.
