The upgrade of facilities at Kinnego Marina to offer a wider range of facilities.
Situated on Lough Neagh beside the Oxford Island National Nature Reserve, Kinnego Marina is the largest marina on the Lough. It boasts a range of associated amenities on site including skippered boat services, quality instruction in sailing and power boating together with a mix of accommodation. The site offers 90 fully sheltered berths with deep and shallow water access for vessels drawing less than 1.55 metres. There are also 10 moorings. The site is widely used and the Jetty usage has increase year on year recorded launches have increase from 827 in 2008 to 957 in 2009. The jetty is also used to facilitate boat trips by the Maid of Antrim in the Lough, the jetty is at deck level and it allows people with disabilities to access boats.
Assistance is provided for launching boats, stepping masts and other related services. Secured summer and winter storage is provided for 30 boats within the boat park.
By upgrading the facility it has increase its ability to facilitate 16 boats mooring during the day and over-night. The T shape jetty goes into deeper water and allows larger boats to moor during the day and at night thus bring in a greater income.
