Implementation of a promotional strategy and purchase of design software to increase efficiencies of soft furnishings business.
Donna Monteith is the proprietor of a rural soft furnishings manufacturing outlet located at the Temple, Carryduff Road, Lisburn. Following its first year of trading, the business has already established a reputation for its niche brand of furnishings. The promoter sought to secure a foothold in the local market for quality soft bedroom furnishings and upholstery through the implementation of a robust promotional strategy aimed and raising the business profile and increasing sustainable turnover.
Funded under Axis 3, through Lagan Rural Partnership, the promoter identified an opportunity to invest in design software and develop a marketing strategy to enhance the image of her new business. Having secured a lease for the business premises she has established a need to create a promotional website, purchase CAD design software and to invest in promotional signage and advertising material which will be used to increase consumer awareness of the new business.
As a result of this programme of investment the promoter will substantially reduce design time, increase production output and have the reassurance of purchasing a design system whose continued development and support is guaranteed. This will also increase the effectiveness of presentations by illustrating proposals with full colour perspectives. Promotional literature will include a stock of postcards, leaflets, letterheads and artwork for a roll-up stand. 2 new full time equivalent posts have been created.
