Purchase of equipment and marketing costs to manufacture and produce road safe interchangeable tractor frames.


The application for funding was made by Raymond McShane, a farmer wishing to undertake a farm diversification project through the establishment of a new business venture. Raymond had conducted much research into his target market and products that he could produce.  He worked with Invest NI in developing his business proposal, researching the market, and undertaken searches for other similar products. 


Funded under Axis 3, through SOAR, the proposal involved the manufacture and production of an Interchangeable / multi purpose tractor frame and associated attachable products (i.e. bale stackers, bale forks, and mud fork) for the rear and front of tractors and other agricultural vehicles.  Items funded:

  • Bandsaw + rollers for bandsaw
  • Geared Pillar /Pedistal Drill, + drill bits (10mm – 30mm) + drill vice 6” Jaw
  • 200 Ltr Belt Driven Compressor, + filter, + air line susie
  • ¾” air impact wrench + ¾” Impact socket set 9PC
  • Spray gun + 10 x rubber air hose
  • Belt sander
  • Hydraulic pipe bender Plasma Cutter
  • 3 KUA generator
  • Advertising in farmers papers / journals
  • Marketing materials, such as brochures, business cards, promotional stickers, logo design.
