To create a more suitable and pleasing environment in which to work, display art and meet clients.
Wendy McKeown is an emerging artist who ran a craft business for 13 years. Recently her focus has moved to paintings, however the fact she was working from home limited the amount of work she could produce. It also created logistical issues around displaying her work and meeting with clients. To remedy these issues, Wendy built a log cabin to use an artists studio and classroom. She also purchased a laptop so she could communicate more effectively with galleries and clients.
Funding from DRAP enabled Wendy McKeown to professionalise her artistic practice, building and furnishing a studio where she could work, teach and meet clients. It also helped her purchase a laptop so she engage digitally with the wider, artistic world.
