To establish an Equestrian Centre which matches the standards set by the British Horse Society with the development of a farm trekking and livery yard which exceeds customer expectations for service standards in a secure and scenic environment.
William Green resides with his parents on the family farm located in Co Down. He assists in running this traditional farming operation and received grant to utilise his equine experience and qualifications into developing a high quality equestrian centre on the land adjacent to the farm. This centre includes an off-road trekking facility as well as livery and training facilities.
The applicant received funding for the construction of a new livery facility, development of an off-road trek, refurbishment of a menage and marketing which included a launch event, website development and signage.
Funding for this project developed a farm diversification project and created additional employment within the farming community. It introduced an innovative concept to the local equestrian industry, as off-road trekking is growing in popularity in Northern Ireland
